The Sapphire Necklace Gala, Evening Program
Challenge: The ICA constantly faces the challenge of delivering cutting edge contemporary design befitting a world class art institute while remaining forever 
vigilant to its non-profit status. The Sapphire Necklace Gala is the ICA's largest fundraising event of the year. They turned to the Graphic Group looking for a way to create the evening's program booklet with a high-end look and feel while staying within a defined budget.
Graphic Group Difference: The Graphic Group worked closely with the ICA designers on print, paper, and bindery techniques to add bulk and create an elegant feel to the cover. Our ingenious solution was to foil stamp the cover in metalic silver as an eight panel double gate fold wrap. A two color belly band completed the look. The double gate fold added bulk. The foil stamp and belly band acheived the elegant feel the ICA was looking for. The text pages were printed two-color on a premium uncoated sheet. The design goals were achieved through the intelligent combination of paper choices, print method and bindery techniques. The ICA was thrilled with the end results. |
